Born in La Vega, Dominican Republic being yet a kid, he initiated his basic studies at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes which he did not conclude, but later on, he could not contained his art passion and during his adulthood he converted himself in a proud autodidact. In the meantime, he studied law, however, he started translating the color of music on canvas achieving outstanding performance. Due to the numerous exhibitions from his paintings, he is being considered one of the hispanic artists with major trascendence within the exterior artistic circle. For this reason, the Miami-Dade County declared on July 2nd 2009, the day of Felix Suriel, dominican artist.

Felix Suriel has collaborated with beneficent organizations donating pieces of art for obtaining funds to contribute to their daily operations. Some of these organizations are "La Ventana De Los Cielos" from Ricardo Montaner, "Abriendo Puertas Foundation", "Monseñor Felipe Bello Foundation", and the Family Builder USA Foundation. Additionally, he has expressed solidarity with the dominican community helping on the Jimani landslide on June 2004. He helps people in need who live in Allapattah, commonly named "Little Santo Domingo" in Miami every year in collaboration with federal agencies such as Latinos United in Action Center, Inc., Iglesia Nuestra Señora La Altagracia and The Dominican Cultural Center Organization.

With his masterpiece "El Color De La Vida", which he initiated on 2005 and finish on 2008, he establish a record painting the longest piece of art made by only one artist with 180 meters of length, composed by 704 different pieces of consecutive art captured in the same canvas. This masterpiece forms a color maze in the same space of 25,000 square feet and was presented during the celebration of The International Fair of Contemporary Art - Art Basel on 2008 caughting the attention of visitors around the world.
